Harry Potter Cast: Favorite Pictures -> Alan Rickman
Everyone always talks about celebrity crushes. You know their ultimate “to do” list. How they would get sleazy for Orlando Bloom, Justin Beiber, Brad Pitt- etc. They always talk about the abercrombie model-esque airheaded idiots that are just “so sexy” with their “hot bods”. And then this is where in the conversation turns to me and asks: “So what about you? Who’s your celebrity crush?”
And then I stand there like and idiot- debating whether or not to say. Because you see- my celebrity crush is not chosen on how “young” they are, or how “fit” they are. My “celebrity crush” is chosen on wit, on character, on humor. Not to mention the best vocal chords given to anyone on earth in the history of anything.
So then I sigh and say “Alan Rickman.”
Usually the first response is “Who?” and then the second is “Ewwwwwwww.”
I’m sorry, but I can’t see what is not appealing about him. Sure, he’s a little older, he’s a little rougher around the edges- but that what I like about him- he’s not perfect but damn does he walk with a swag that says otherwise.
I usually get the question “Anyone else?” afterwards because nobody wants to talk about Alan Rickman. So I repond with my usual “Edward Norton. Helena Bonham Carter. Joseph Gordon Levitt. Rupert Grint. Robert Sheenan. Iwan Rhoen. etc etc etc.” Nobody ever argues with those people. But my heart still sits with Alan Rickman as my main “celebrity crush”. (via fuckyeahseverus)
